Make Us One - Praying the Scriptures

Our praying can be enhanced when we pray using words from Scripture.

May your Church gather your children from the ends of the earth. May they turn to you and be saved; for you are God, and there is no other. Isaiah 45:22

Good Shepherd, gather your scattered sheep. May we listen to your voice and come together as one flock under you, the one true Shepherd. John 10:11-16

Father, make us one, that the world may know you have sent your Son. John 17:21

Father, make us one with each other and one with our Lord Jesus Christ so that the world will know that our Lord Jesus was sent by you and that your love is poured out on your people even as you pour it on your Son. John 17:23

Holy God, unite us in Christ as one body, each of us belonging to the others. Receive our service from the gifts you have given each of us, and use them to build the body of Christ, the Church. Romans 12:4-8

Heavenly Father, equip your church to plant and water the seeds of the Gospel, and by the power of your Holy Spirit make them grow. We give you all the glory. 1 Corinthians 3:5-9

Creator God, reconcile all things in heaven and on earth to yourself through the blood of Christ shed on the cross, and put all things under the supremacy of Christ, the head of the body, the Church. Colossians 1:15-20

Holy God, build us together like living stones into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to you through Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:5
